Can NoiseTrade's Free Downloads Still Save Music?

We’re more than familiar with the various arguments about ethical questions surrounding music downloads and streaming capabilities and their effects on the artists’ livelihoods. Despite this familiarity, it seems most attempts to correct this challenge have instead made the situation worse according to some musicians. This article highlights one person’s response to this challenge as it explores musician Derek Webb’s building of the innovative music-downloading site NoiseTrade. Those interested in how one can creatively find business opportunities amidst seemingly bleak circumstances will find this a rather interesting read.
