While Christians have not always been the best stewards of creation—despite the biblical call to do so—it is helpful to hear about the work that Christians are doing in the environmental sphere. This article draws out some of the thoughts and work being done by the MI’s Executive Director Paul Williams and one of our Senior Fellows, Preston Manning. The challenge presented by Williams to consider the environmental impact within the cost of a product is one that needs to be heard both by the government and business spheres (not to mention the rest of us as consumers). Equally challenging to all of us as Christians is Manning’s understanding of how Christ’s example of reconciliation applies to all of our relationships. The article also notes the hands-on effort in environmental education of A Rocha, an organization whose work is deeply appreciated by the MI.
