The task of addressing the environmental needs of our planet is not the role of any single person, country, or group. Instead, it is a task in which all of us need to participate. So while this article offers suggestions for how “going green” can be implemented in the developing world, the twelve suggestions it offers (e.g. recycling, composting, and reducing meat consumption) are just as applicable to the rest of us. Lists like this offer us a helpful reminder of what each of us can be doing in our own lives to lessen the negative impact we can have on the environment. For those of us in more affluent regions, it also provides ideas for how we might best be able to support the environmental aspirations of our neighbours in the developing world.
