MI Associate, Soohwan Park, back in Japan
This past August, Marketplace Institute Associate Soohwan Park returned to Japan for the fifth time since the disastrous tsunami on March 11, 2011. Earlier this year, Soohwan helped organize an international forum of organizations, church networks, and businesses from cities around the world also struck by major natural disasters to share wisdom around disaster relief. During her most recent visit, Soohwan returned to Japan with professor of theology at Carey Theological College, Jonathan Wilson. Part of this trip involved a second gathering of local pastors for reflection and rest in the midst of the daily busyness characteristic of post-disaster life.
